Thanks for stopping by my blog. My name is Motunrayo aka Tunrayo aka Rayo and aka Tunzie 😊
I started this blog in May 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. I decided it was as good a time as any to take on a Keto diet challenge and see how it goes. I decided to document the journey in order to keep me accountable and have something to look back to in time.

I am the proud Momma of 2 kids, I guess that is probably one of the reasons why I need to take this challenge 😊 Baby weight and all.

Post-delivery of baby # 1 - I went on the dukan diet which is a no carb diet in its first 2 phases. It worked really great in bringing me to my pre-pregnancy weight and I was happy with the results. I however gained back some of the weight because I was not following the diet very strictly and I also had baby # 2. I completely threw out the diet while pregnant and nursing and then was off and on the dukan diet for about 5 years. I decided that it was too restrictive, and I was not doing myself favors by being off and on.

Working from home during the pandemic “helped” me put on an additional 3KGs that I didn’t have the allowance for. So, I decided it was time for the Keto challenge. Like most people, I had heard a lot about and had even read books about the “amazing” keto diet - a high fat, moderate protein and low carb diet. It is supposed to enable weight loss while boosting energy levels. I also noticed in my research that there seems to be a plethora of recipes which might mean it is not too restrictive after all.

I am a big picture kind of gal, so, I will not bore you with much more details. This keto diary will be a very high-level detail of what I ate, weighed and my observations while on the challenge. There are tons of detailed blogs and books about the Keto diet which I hope to reference in the cause of blogging, I will not try to replicate what has already been documented, I will only be writing based on my personal observations.

Here comes the caveat – I am not a health or nutritional professional, please consult one as required. I only write based on my experience.
